Public Meeting Notice- November 20, 2024, 11am
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is furthering the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process through which the NRCS has evaluated alternative solutions to flood prevention and agricultural water management measures for the Carroll County Water Authority’s service area in relation to Lower Little Tallapoosa River Dam No. 25 (aka the proposed Lower Little Tallapoosa River No. 25A and Indian Creek Reservoir). As part of this virtual public meeting, the NRCS seeks input on the draft Environmental Impact Statement from interested individuals, Tribes, State and local Agencies and jurisdictions. On August 30, 2023, the Natural Resource Conservation Service published the Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for CCWA's Indian Creek Reservoir project.
